Message from the Chairs

It is a great pleasure to welcome you at the I international conference on F.M. Dostoyevsky’s works through the succession of ages and generations (Omsk 12-15 October, 2011 Russian Federation)

 

Both full-time participation and participation by correspondence are possible. The collection of the articles will be published on the basis of the results of the conference. Author's copies will be sent to the participants before the end of the year.

 

Research of an interdisciplinary character is a priority. We invite philologists, critics, experts in religion,  philosophy, history to take part in the conference. 

 

The main topics of interest are the following:

 

1.      F.M. Dostoyevsky and orthodoxy.

2.      Perception of  F.M. Dostoyevsky’s works in the Russian and world literature.

The role of  F.M. Dostoyevsky in religious and philosophical reflection of XX–XXI c.

4.      F.M. Dostoyevsky’s Prose poetics.

5.      F.M. Dostoyevsky’s Prose language.

6.      Heritage of  F.M. Dostoyevsky in Siberian cultural context .

7.      The place of F.M. Dostoyevsky in modern philological education and  upbringing.

 

To take part in the conference, it is necessary to send the application form till October, 1th, 2011, and also to send the report text to fm@philfak.ru or s.a.demchenkov@omsu.ru.

Conference registration fee is 500 rubles, including publication costs. The prescribed limit of a report is 5 pages. Every extra page is charged 100 roubles.

 

Information for payment will be sent with the letter of notification confirming your participation in the conference

 

Journey and accommodation charges are paid by the participants. 

 

The committee can reject reports if they do not correspond to the theme of the conference.

  • Article size – under 5 pages (indent one and a half interval, Times New Roman font, 14 size, fields - 2 centimeters, indentation– 1,25 centimeters).
  • Document Format – DOC or RTF.
  • It is necessary to add to your article its summary in English (in 5-10 sentences, 500 signs with blanks).
  • References are made out in square brackets according to the standard: [Smith 2003: 132].
  • Examples are italicized
  • You should send your article and application form in separate files to fm@philfak.ru or s.a.demchenkov@omsu.ru (Theme of the message «Dostoevsky»)

 

The file with your article should be titled under the standard:

Breakup group (According to the list of the main topics of interest)

Author’s surname and initials (for example, 1_ Smith N.doc).

 

The file with your personal data should be titled under the standard:

For example, 1_Smith N._Application form.doc 

 

Requirements for an article:

 

- Author’s (or authors’) name and surname. Name of  the high school or the Academic institution

- E-mail (italics. Top right edge)

- The title of the article (bold type letters in the centre)

- Bibliography without numeration in alphabetical order; if article is used, pages should be mentioned

- Place notes after the bibliography with numeration in square brackets.
